Hi all,
Well with the temps slowly rising me and knorrski are able to start doin some good huntin.Yesterday though I went for about an hour at the local fairgrounds and saw a pile of dirt about 30' long that I had hit before with no luck about half the size.Went to scan the area and my first hit was a wheatie, cool! i thought.I found a clad or 2 then a 1917 wheatie lying on the surface. My first silver was a 1962 rosie and threw in 2 more wheaties then another hit at only 2 in.and out came a 1912 barber dime!I was quite happy.I picked up knorrski and went back there and she found a wheatie and a tootsie toy dragster. We hit a few other spots and I found a nice 14 in silver chain with a medium size Saint Anne silver pendant. We totaled 112 coins for the day so it was a very successful hunt.

peace,bigrig

I agree ...those dirt piles are just one big pile of coins.....I would deffinately go back when they spread the pile or find out where their taking the dirt if they haul it away....!!! nice job !!!!

Some good finds. Yes, anytime there is construction in an old "hunted out park" it's time to metal detect!
