Saw that it was going to be in the mid 90s in Bullhead City yesterday, so I loaded up the detector and hit the road.
There haven't been enough hot days yet for much to be dropped yet this year (the river is like ice water!), but thought I might be able to sniff out some deeper targets from the river bottom.
Managed to dig up $7.89 in clad, a 1943-p war nickel and a couple of rings.

Gold has been very elusive this year so far, but I'll keep at it-it's gotta be out there somewhere!

I hunted the river in Bullhead city area back in 2008, I have a friend who lives there, and your right, even in August the water is cold.

What is up with these kids pulling the push tab off cans? I hope they all end up cutting their lip and realize leaving it on the can is a good idea.
Hopefully the clad covered gas and you still got some silver, NICE!

Everybody seems nervous these days. My md'ing buddy and I refer to them as 'nervous tabs' as opposed to pull tabs (beaver tail).
They sure are a bane to the hobby.

Good work
Congratulations on your nice recoveries

Sweet rings!!!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

You did very well - congrats ! :icon_thumright:

Know that water. Ive been told it's always cold because of the Davis Dam. You try the water near Harrah's Beach? Next time I get back to the Harrah's in Laughlin I'll let you know. Was there last June a few days. Traded dirt casino for real one ha.

Good day of recoveries.
You are filling that keg up now certainly with the latest haul of tabs.
Stop hoping for that gold and it will show it's self soon enough.
Maybe a little reverse psychology will work, think tab. tab. tab. :laughing7:

Ha, funny you should say that! I've been doing that the last few hunts..."oh, I hope this is a tab!" :laughing7:
No worries though, I really do just enjoy being out there.
