Detector(s) used
DFX - 1280 Excal.-1000
I went to the beach this morning. The lake was flat, water was warm, sunny. There was no body around. I hunted in close. A lot of targets. I got about $2.00 in coins. Then I got a lowtone. I thought it was a earing,it was so small. It was a size 3 gold band. It has 1 tiny diamond and a hugs and kisses design. That makes 5 this year. If my Excal can pick up that tiny ring it can pick up any ring. Good hunting. Mike.

Not bad,
Don't have a water machine yet.
getting one next year.

Geckokid Thanks. The Excal 1000 is a little pricey, but this is my 1st season with it,and I got about 50% of it back in gold so far. Last year I got 0 gold with my Fisher 1280,s. They are not bad machines but I do think the Excal is better. You save a lot of time not digging junk targets. Good luck. Mike.

Congrats Mike, the Minelab 1000 seems to serve well.

Congrats, Mike! While I love my DFX dearly, I'm still getting acquainted with my Excalibur 1000. I'm having a learning curve on going from all of the bells & whistles of the DFX to having to listen to the tones on my Excal. Ask my wife.......I'm not good at listening....at least so SHE says. LOL. But, I have no doubt that I will master both........metal detectors, that is. I'll NEVER master my wife....LOL

Mel
