weeding to detecting

I swear I was just going to weed the flower beds today after morning showers, but I had to walk past my detector All fairness and reasoning justified that if I weeded 30 min. I should take a break and detect 30. But a detector in my hands is like a kid with a toy, it causes me to not be able to tell time anymore. But the good news is I got alot less metal in my yard.

A handful of tid bits of copper and aluminum, a couple '65 dimes, 2 wheaties, and 3 indians, 1883, 1889, last one is still soaking the crud off. Hand from a clock, a casing, and I believe the iron thing is a leather punch.

Digging old coins is better than digging weeds anyday.Congrats on the great digs!
It's amazing what a person can find in their own yards at home. HH!

know the feeling -- got chores to do myslef today. Just glad my yard does not contain anything old or else I would never get anything done -- actually have to leave my house to go detecting --- none the less great finds!! Would you mind if I detect in your yard

The metal thing look like a gasket punch we used to punch bolt holes in gasket material when we rebuilt pumps in the navy.

That's funny about not being able to tell time when the detector is in your hands....I know the feeling. I wish they would just put a clock on the display......and a timer!
