WOW!!!
That J.starky bottle and the terra cotta figurine are the coolest of all of the great finds.I'mm guessing by your coins that you didn't go to Empire, Nevada. ;D
Great post.
Hope you get many opportunities to hit that place again.

Wow that was allot of digging Tin! I love it all, some very unique bottles though. Nice job!

Those are some great finds. I bet there's a bottle dump nearby. Those green bottles are applied tops and are mid-late 1800's for sure. I wonder if the bottom of the schnapps is pontiled? That would put it back into the 1850's and earlier. Nice finds.

Great finds, Tinpan. To find a site that no one else did is awesome. Look at all the history that would have been lost without you. You deserve a pat on the back (or an ice cold Foster's ;D :D) Great find Tin and be careful working in the heat by yourself. I've never heard of Aromatic Schnapps before. Is that different from Peach/Peppermint Schnapps?? and that small bottle looks like it might be an ink well, just a guess.

Great digs Tinpan!

Lots of history unearthed there. How large is this area?

Tin, as per usual sweet finds.
You have some really great sites with truly interesting history behind them.
Bottles, bottles, You know I love those bottles!

Re: Weekend at a place called "Empire" 1851-1935 mega relic dig

Tinpan,

I think you've got yourself a major league hunting site, in fact, I'm excited just thinking about what else you may potentially uncover.

Basically, what you have here at this site is the triple crown of detecting. You obviously have great potential for finding coins, some terrific looking bottles and relics, and a pretty good chance of coming up with some gold.

Finding the gold won't likely come easy, you'll probably have to work hard to find it, as I would suspect that whatever pieces of gold are to be found would likely be small. That's assuming that those who mined this area in the past made an effort not to loose anything they found. But still some small flakes or nuggets of gold could have been lost, and it doesn't take too much before it starts to add up.

No matter what, the place has already proved itself to be a relic treasure trove, the bottles alone are worth your time. Man, good job finding the place and I wish you the absolutely best of luck. I can't wait to see what other goodies may be waiting for you!!!
