I hate to sound like an idiot but why keep the 87 through 2010 halves?

I understand if your collecting them but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something.

Again I'm very new so I'm trying to learn.

I hate to sound like an idiot but why keep the 87 through 2010 halves?

those are NFICs, I have found fewer 87s than I have found 65s...

i keep some of the NIFC's to fill holes in my coin books. I keep a few extra nice ones and throw back the rest. The 2010 was my first one. I will keep probably a half roll of each year and mint mark NIFC's and that's it. The 87 is very hard for me to find as this was my 3rd one in the last 2 years.

The funniest thing just happened. I picked up my box of halves today and sat them on the desk. Just got writing the reply above and decided to open a roll and out pops a 1987 d NIFC. So now its 4 in last 2 years and 2 with in the last couple days. WTH!! LOL. Hope this box produces some silver though.
