Weekend of hunting- last 1/2 hour gives up a ring

Went hunting Friday , Saturday & sunday morning and found some change and
junk jewelry.
Went out again about 5pm sunday and after 1.5 hrs and only 44
cents (and pull tabs) I start heading back. Got close to where I started from
and got a signal.
Dug it and it had the weight so I thought I found white
gold.
Got home and I see PLAT.

A lot of hours but the ring made it a treasure hunt.
