I managed to get out a couple of times over the weekend. I was quite disappointed that no silver coins showed up under my coil. However, I was able to find 16 Wheaties, so I know that I was in the right places. I did mange to find to the following:

Duke Power Company bus token:The buses were run by the power company in the 40s and 50s.

Silver bracelet: Found at a school yard, about 3" deep. looked fake, but when I wiped it off, it gleamed. Marked "925 Italy". The clasp still works and everything.

MGS '08 sterling pin: Made by Bastian Bros. in Rochester... apparently in 1908! Todd Lipe took me to a really old looking house, and I found it in the yard. I think that it is a graduation pin... as of yet, I have been unable to identify "MGS". It was found in Mooresville, NC. Please feel free to wildly speculate on the identity of this item.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Neat 08 pin.cool silver bracelet. And in finding 16 wheat pennies is no slouch either.Good hunt.

1908 graduation pin is awesome! Once I found a book in an old attic that was a graduation book from 1890. Kind of makes you think...

I know you prefer the coins, but those are still some nice finds! Your bracelet is the same style of a big honking necklace I found earlier this year, but mine turned out to be plated. :sadsmiley:

Very nice bracelet Tom, cool old pin too....:icon_thumright:

Awesome silver and finds! Congrats!

Nice group of finds, although not coins, the 2 silvers you did pull are pretty sweet!, nice work!

Nice to see you getting out Tom it must be hot there.

Tom the Mooresville Graded School (district) was established in 1905..... Great finds
Also the pin mfg is still in business and may have archives

I like that pin Tom. Silver is silver. Jewelry is just as good as a coin!

Great finds! Don't help the silver coin count, but still very nice!

Nice group of finds.

You had a very productive hunt with interesting recoveries, congratulations.

Cool finds Tom

WTG Tom, Looks like you pulled plenty of keepers. :hello2: What's the date range for those wheats?
