Some non-silver keepers included my first foreign coin, a 1944 British Penny and
1987-p and a 1987-d, both uncirculated!!

Please be careful about putting any collectable coins in clear PVC plastic flips. The chemicals in the PVC flips have been known to react with the metals of coins and damage the surfaces. I made that mistake with some uncirculated halves and quarters that I had bought about 5 years ago, not knowing any better. They turned out coated with a green slime when I checked them a few months ago after reading an article about the damage they can do to coins. I was able to use alcohol soaked cotton balls to remove the green slime, but the surfaces had been microscopically damaged and the original patina of the coins was gone.
