Any recommendations for something to hold 22 lbs of weight comfortably with the waist belt the right thickness to slide the diving weights onto. The standard weight belt was not intended to be worn in a standup position as it keeps sliding off my grossly overweight physique. Ya, gettin old sucks

Whatever you get to work, make sure it can be dumped in a hurry in case you get into trouble.

I have same prob
I wear mine like a bandolier usually - quick release still works
or use one or 2 bungy cords - if you hit the quick release - it should easily fall off still

These are rockin expensive new, I bought two of these for $15 each at a scuba swap meet a few years ago in brand new condition. I just saw them and realized they were perfect for wading. There are others from different manufacturers also.

Comfortable easy to dump, use weight bags with shot in them. Good luck.

I found the perfect solution. Weight belt suspenders. Now I can put way more weight than needed to negate the effects of tide change pulling me while detecting. Quick release in case of emergency. See video on Utube - "scuba tech tips. weight belt harness. alec peirce scuba
