The Northern Cardinal is the state bird of WV... huge souvenir key to the state?

Can you post a picture of the other side too?

I wish i could but i dont have my camera on me now... But it says Virginia, and has 4 pics on the other side..... 2 pics of houses of some sort... a pic of a boat. and a pic of i believe a steamboat....

The Cardinal is also the state bird of Virginia (sorry Jim ) - it's probably a touristy item that was once lost and now it is found... ;D

Either that or it's a key to the "big house"... :tard: :D

HA!  Right you are! I shoulda read that a little closer...

Also of West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and North Carolina!

You are correct Jim - crazy, I wonder if they had a fight to see who should get another state bird...

Wonder how many states actually have the same state birds?

Check this out Jim -

Seven eastern states share the cardinal, the bird most heavily favored; six western states have the meadowlark; and five in dixie claim the mockingbird. New York shares the eastern bluebird with Missouri. A second bluebird, the mountain bluebird, is the choice of another pair of states - Idaho and Nevada. There is no confusing the two birds, however. The eastern bluebird is a lowland dweller with a reddish breast and a cheery warble, while the mountain bluebird stays at altitudes greater than a mile and is, except at dawn, a remarkably silent creature.

I thought the state bird of West Virginia was a DEA helicopter

I bet that rang up pretty loud on your detector. Nice find in your own state :icon_sunny:

That pic of the helicopter ,then there is the jet way above it...did you try to catch the jet and plane together? pretty cool...

LOL Digginman, I never thought of that... Virginia "key". that would be something if it was from the location....

dcinffxva.... I think the state bird in WV really IS the DEA chopper! LOL I lived there for 4 months, and helped run a pawn shop mt buddy owned (pawn shop = prime location for druggies) and WOW I couldn't believe the epidemic there!

crazyjarhead... It was a damn good signal from the 'tector! hehe ;)
