weird token!!

good morning from n/z.. would you have any idea about this..I dug it at five inches deep around an old hotel site, it is crude and dose'nt have any value stamped on it ..unless the strange symbols state its value..thanks guys..

Hopefully I got to this before it ever got a banner. According to my research:

The Runic text on the disk is a letter for letter (nearly) modern English to Rune translation, except for the first character (Thurisaz 'thoor-ee-sawz'). Thurisaz represents the English 'th' as in thicket. I would say that the Runic character set correctly represents the literal English spelling, but, not the English pronunciation. It would be pronounced Thay Norsaymayn.

A child's gimmick, toy, or party favor or maybe some souvenier from a Norgwegian casino.


The problem is, Northmen and Vikings (Northmen pirates and raiders) did not speak modern English so, they would not have been responsible for the making of this object.

In the modern Scandinavian languages, no common word for Norsemen exists.(Wikipedia)

So the three Triangles are representive of the three tenets of the Norse spiritual tradition. Respect, Honor, Responsibility. The first is Honor, for the Goddess, Ourselves, Our Family. The second, Respect. Respect for, The goddess, Ourselves, Our Family. The third of course is Honor. Honor for the same three things. A pretty basic creed.
Can we get a better picture of the King side to read who it is?
I think if it were not a fantasy piece the axe would be a double ax.

A guess would be Tyr,Son of Odhinn. Tyr sacrificed his right hand to the wolf Fenris, in order to display courage and the honor of the "Aesir". Tyr, would be the origianal all father to the Norse Tribes, This guy is only showing one hand.
