Ok I promised a good welcome back post so here ya go:

Story:

I moved 1.5 hours away from west jersey to central/south jersey shore. I had not been TH'ing in some time due to my busy, busy life and the move. At work, I learned that a coworker needed her parents house cleaned out (garage actually). I lined up the job with a fellow Tnet member and good friend Jim. I also set it up so I could pick up any useable but non-scrap metal stuff (antiques and furniture, tools, etc).

Drove there on Fri after work and filled my van with the remains of the cleanout. All of it was free! On the way home I stopped at my old "coin source" and picked up a 1996 ASE for $25!

Sat morning I stopped at a yard sale and scored a freshwater pearl necklace with 14k clasp for 25 cents and a Mexico Alpaca pendant/pin for another 25 cents. Also scored at another sale a set of heavy duty car ramps and 3 records. One of the records is an occult/seance record which goes for decent money on ebay. The sales in this area are sparse but they are un advertised "follow the signs" type sales - my favorite! This area where I live now is very... "backwoods". You never know what you could find.

This morning I stopped by an estate sale far away (due to having to run an early morning errand). I scored a beautiful storage/organizer "card catalog" style display box. I paid much more than normal @ $45 but I believe it would sell for $100 on ebay.

The rest of the story is that as a result of moving, we bought a bigger house with an extra bedroom. The extra bedroom is now my "hobby room". So the storage box will go great in my new hobby room to display coins and other treasures, buttons, etc. Not for sale.

Thanks for looking and it is great to be back!

Finds:

The pics speak for themselves. Not pictured are 3 buckets of VINTAGE hand tools. Wood handle and cast iron stuff. It is a couple hundred tools and in the past I have gotten $1-2 per tool at the flea market. Also not pictured is an old "steamer travel trunk". I will post pics of that stuff later in a follow up reply.

Nice finds jerseyben.

Post some pics of the tools. Maybe we can spot some that are worth more than what you would get at the flea market.
