The rain stopped last night, and the sun came out today, so I decided to try and do a little swingin today. Went back to a school that I've been working on since the first of the year, and decided to take along the DFX. This is only about the 4th or 5th time that I've used it, so I thought that I should find some coins there. This is the same school that I had pulled the 2 silver rings out of the same plug.
Well, I don't know if it's because the ground is wet, or the DFX is that much better than my Prizm V, or if I was just lucky, but I found a bunch of clad today. I also think that I have figured out the nickel reading on this machine. Found 5 of them today, and very little junk or slaw.
As I was walking over to a part of the field that I hadn't done yet, the first two readings I get are both nickels, and they were nickels. Yippee. They're better than pennys! The 3rd reading I get, also says nickel at 6 inches. I figured clad. Imagine my surprise, when at about 7 inches, out comes an Indian head. That buffalo on the back was standing tall. I thought that I had found one of these a couple of days ago, but it was one of the new nickels with the buffalo on the back. This one, if you get it in the light just right, and have a good enough magnifying glass, shows it to be a 1919 one.
My day was made! 
Ended up finding $4.07. Not a lot to some of you guys, but a pretty good day in this part of the country.
