Well, over the years I have pounded my yard with a 1265x and DMCIIb, well I just got a F2 to just try a machine with a VDI readout and decided to go out back again in all metal mode and look for targets in the 20-35 VDI range(GOLD), things that in the past I would have discriminated out. This is what I came up with. I thought it was silver but the VDI was too low to be silver also there was a huge iron nail in the hole with it. I'm very pleased with this Fisher F2! This was reading a VDI of 20-37 14k gold filled (I was close)
