Today I went detecting at the old gold mining camps. I found this rifle round that appears to have been modified into a fishing lure. It's hammered to have a curve and flat. It looks like at one time it was painted white on one side and red on the other. Has anyone ever seen anything like this ? And I found this arrowhead. A couple of wheats and that's it.

Congrats. If its cool to you Its cool.Good luck with your hunting at that spot.

I've never seen one. Does it have a hook? Cool find is right! H Digs!

No hook. I think it rusted off.

Very cool folk art lure. Anything flashy and shiny can be used to catch fish.

Thats cool..wonder if the person ever cought any fish with it...:icon_scratch:

I'm considering restoring it and trying it out for myself.

Sure appears to be a homemade lure. Paint it up, add a treble hook and go catch a state record bass with it! HH
