Nothing like being in cool water on a hot summer day! Good for you.

The item beside the pot is an electrode from a battery, something like that.

The thing next to the pot is a battery. The rod showing is the carbon rod in the center of it

Tragic! The beaver tail is missing from that old soda can lid.

I've not had a chance to get into the creek here yet ( have to have permit ). Keep at it.

Permit to hunt a creek?!? I thought Illinois had the market cornered on totalitarian Communist BS! I hope the "permit" is at least "free" of any fees. Sorry for the rant. :BangHead:

Congrats on your first "plunge" into water tecting. Lots of fun and a totally different dynamic from land hunting. I remember the first time I dunked my head under for a recovery I swallowed a big gulp of nasty river water! LOL! Hopefully you won't have to experience that. Great recoveries and while maybe not "valuable" all part of learning a whole new avenue of hunting. Great job partner.:headbang:

Not to worry pretty lady. Partner has a metal detector and he knows how to use it. He'll rescue that lost beaver tail on his next adventure into that creek.:whip2:
