Went detecting and found a Ho with some bottles all in the same hole

I went out for about an hour and a half and was detecting where an old house used to be, and got a big signal, and dug down about a foot and started finding parts of an old wood stove and broken bottles. And then I started finding whole bottles, all this came out of the same hole. I had to go home and mow so I filled the hole back in. There is alot more sinals there, I will go back when I have more time. Does anyone know much about the chili powder bottle with the eagle on it? I thought it was the best find of the day.

Your bottle is from the first style of bottle they produced. It appears that it is an 1896 and has been sold recently at auction for $10.00. Hope this helps. Google ( Gebhardt Eagle Chili Powder Bottle ) and you can see the one that was sold & it appears to be the exact one you have. Congrats on your finds. Cant wait to see what else comes out of that spot. Mike
