We decided to head towards Joplin this time on a random hunt. We ended up in Webb City. No luck on any of the larger historical homes. People weren’t as easily swayed there. Most of them were tired of people detecting their yards. We drove a little ways out of the central part of town and found three older homes we asked and got permission for.
They were all three loaded with Zinc Pennies. At the first I scored a 1961 Silver Rosie. Everything else was either a Zinc, or trash.
Then a guy pulls up in a pickup and said he’s pulled all the Silver out of these yards. Said he’s hunted 3 roads both ways and found all his bunch of Silvers he has. Seemed pretty excited. Glad he missed the Silver Rosie, but all three yards were pretty clean. He definitely didn’t look for Indians though. None just happened to turn up.
It was getting out on a Hunt Though!!
