Had a day off on Friday, so I decided to go binge detecting. It's a long walk to this site but well worth it. One of the first few targets I dug came up a 1892 barber dime in great condition considering that it came from a salt water beach. Also somehow managed to find my fourth trime, a 1853 in what I like to think is decent condition. A few cool buttons along with a few other interesting items. I've never had anything gold color pop out of any of the holes I've ever dug until now, I got so excited until I picked it up and it barely weighed a thing and had no marking... Still a great day out there, wanted to go again today but it decided to rain. Anyways, thanks for looking, and you never know but... Your next find could be your best, so get out there people!

The oldest find is the large tombac button, circa 1780.

It may be gold, looks good to me, acid test to make sure, its a earing and not solid. But I would prefer to find a trime or a barber any day over a normal gold find. Nice spot you have.

You should be out now digging....since the Pats are off today....
Great finds!

Very nice early finds! Artifacts from the late 1700's and 1800's in the same hunt, so cool! :treasurechest::icon_thumright:
