Went to the dentist and got silver(?)

After a morning visit to the dentist, I stopped at six banks on the way home, hoping to hit the half dollar jackpot. First bank had seven, all clad. The other banks had either one or none; the last had just one, this Proof 1999S! Some bad boy stole it from daddy's drawer, I'm certain. I assumed silver, but some of the references list both silver and clad Proofs that year. I'm taking it to a coin dealer tomorrow for a look see.

Just look at the edge. Do you see a copper ring on the reeded edge or is it all silver? Copper ring it's clad, no ring it's 90% silver.

Turned out to be copper-nickel.
