Hit the area west of the big rocks today with max and guru and was out for about 4 hours. Tide was real low and lots of rocks were exposed. Water was cold but spent most of my time knee to ankle deep. Managed to pull the cross and ring just a short distance from each other within my first 1/2 hour there. Ring is tungsten and the cross I'm not sure about. Tried the sliver test but not sure if I'm doing it right or not. No marks on it anywhere that I can find so my guess is that it is some sort of crap metal.

Here is the rest of today's haul. Pulled $0.75 in clad, a bunch of fishing weights, some copper pipe and fittings, the usual aluminum garbage (quite a bit of slag today) and a metal circle that has writing on it saying "Use Monkey Wrench Tri Sure" Also has the company address in Chicago on it but not well enough to see in the pictures.

Looked up the name and found this: Antique Vintage Oil Dispenser (10/27/2010)

So it may be a cap to this or something like this that the company may have made.

Thanks for looking!

I'd say you did good! Nice ring and pendant!

That skull cross is way cool. It looks old. It might be bronze. Great find!

Groovy ring! I've found 2 of them tungsten's. They sure clean up nice!

The skull/sword thing is actually really modern. It's one half of a whole sadly. It's called a "Hidden Knife Pendant" or just "Knife Pendant." Most likely iron and the pendant didn't cost more than $20.
The ring is shweet tho:)!!!!

Very nice finds. The ring is in great shape. If the pendant is modern, probably lost by a metal head in cut off jean shorts and black t-shirt :laughing7:

Yeah LinkHylian thanks!, figured it was more of a modern piece. No marks inside of it after some quick electrolysis cleaning, neither on the cross itself or the clasp. It isn't iron, I probably wouldn't have dug it if it was. It will not stick to a magnet. Came up as a low scratchy sound using the excal. If it was iron, it would have nulled out as there is ALOT of iron crap (along with the aluminum) on that beach. Had to discriminate it out... Re-did the silver test again this AM and still no reaction. Maybe it's pewter or lead? Is isn't super soft but I can bend it by hand if I really try. Here are some pictures post cleaning.....
