FYI

Just read in coin world that the mint will continue
The west point quarters in 2020.

Still 2 million minted per design.
Privy mark on the obverse. I think it said the mark
Will be “PV75”
The article stated that the mint is going to try
To distribute the coins more evenly throughout
The US but did not go into detail about how they
Would accomplish that.

Happy hunting!!

I went to the US mint's website. Compared to the 2019 quarters the designs for 2020 are butt ugly.

I'm worn out trying to find these ones.I decided to buy all 5 ms66 grades and slabbed to throw in the old safe deposit box for my kids some day I dont have much money but silver bars these and my gold finds go in there it's not alot but it's something. Hope they do spread those quarters out cause I dont think any came to Mi lol Thanks for the heads up. Tommy

I had questions so I linked the article in case others need clarification. The privy mark is (V75) for the 75th Anniverasry of Allied Victory in World War 2. Even though the American Samoa will be the first Quarter of 2020, the West Point versions with the privy mark won't be released until the last coin release. As the slated release of the American Samoa is before the actual anniversary.

I don't think I'll bother with these. I also sold most of my ungraded ones and opted to get one each of the MS66 graded coins.

I think your timing to sell the W mints while we were all under the impression that this was a one-year-only thing, was good from the POV of sale prices realized. I kinda like the idea of the privy marks, but have to wonder now if they will announce next year that it also will not be a one time thing.

No, don't like the bat coin. The mint is running of brain power.

Privy Mark on W mint quarters?

Welcome to TNet. Find my post in this thread above and click on the link. The privy mark is to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Allied victory in WWII. It will be on all West Point quarters.

All 2020 West Point quarters. The 2019 quarters apparently didn't have it.
