Western New York question

Hi, guys some clarification if anyone can. I have been told there are no known gold veins in new york. Is that a fact, and, what do we have? Any gemstones or precious metals? Im looking for some excitement, and valuables. ARG...sorry got carried away.

The gold in NY is glacial gold. It was moved into the area by glaciers.

There really isn't much in the way of beaches near me. Still, I may in the future. Thanks for the info bye the way.
