nice Castle- -owners of that one also had a mansion in Duluth,Mn called Glensheen.

Correct...

Glensheen was donated to the University and is open to the public...

Westhome is still used by the family as a retreat and is not open for public use...

Interior scale and volumn was overwhealming...did have an olympic size heated swimming pool in the basement

Wow, what a place.

You should offer to "weedeat" for free around there. ;D

Awesome place. There should be a lot of great finds there. I would live to have a house like that.

Superb architecture and grounds. What it must have like to be one of the uber wealthy in that era (late teens, Roaring 20's).

Thanks for sharing your photos. :icon_thumright:

The original family consisted of the parents and 2 teen daughters...in the 1914's this place was in the boonies and was maybe a days train ride to coastal Seattle...
