Our club, Coil and Diggers club of Lane County Oregon, had a club hunt at a 1940's Boy scout camp this weekend. Rained a lot! A few pieces of silver were found. Lots of clad. Quite a few cool scout items. I got a 1947 10k class ring. Cant find school I.D. on the ring. Just date and initials inside. Gettin soaking wet is one thing, but bending down for that next target with sloshy pants on?? You get the picture.

Oh yeah! I got to see this one in person! The best find of the hunt was this 1947 class ring! That was a super fun hunt, even though we all got rained on.

Nice class ring, and a rainy day detecting is better than a snowy cold day stuck in the house!

HH, and keep the coil to the soil, Ringfinder

What a great find!!! I am really looking forward to my first class ring!!! Maybe next time you guys have a club hunt, I will drive down if the club allows guests!?!?

WTG!

Congrats on the nice gold ring! HH, Mike

Nice gold class ring, congrats on the hunt,
Good luck

Eddy

Great ring.

Next time I find a class ring I'll make sure that the school can't be ID'ed either. Because if you don't, people will start hating on you. Better yet, I won't be posting anymore class rings I find.

WTG and HH.

The Best Feeling I would get if I had found that ring I would try to find the person and return it to Him /or her and just to see the smile on there face ;D and a Thank You would make me so happy

Agreed

It does make you happy to return something...Once I found a silver bracelet and got the third degree about when and where I found it. Like I would steal it and then give it back ??????

It sounds like it was a day full of laughs.. I was so looking forward to a picture of the sloshy pants :P

The class ring is a great find on any hunt, jewelry really holds up to the elements.

great find! it looks like an old one too!

Nice find Wayne, wish I coulda been there! We hit a scout camp during the week, out towards Fall Creek. Obtained permission, but promptly got kicked out by the caretakers.... (Wrong camp) LOL!

Oh well, it happens.

Found a bunch of clad near the reservoir down the way.

Sounds like you folks had fun even with the rain, eh? WTG! :)

That is really a great ring and I would keep it after following the local laws pertaining to the finding of lost goods.

On a side not note the other day I really felt good when I helped a guy get an upgrade in his job position. He went from a Hazardous Material Handler to a Material Expediter. What did he get? He got almost a $4.00 per hour raise and when it's all said and done his retirement will be based on his yearly income.

What a great feeling, seeing his face when he praised and thanked me changing his life. He said he's ready to do 10 more years. He really deserved the job but he had no idea how to put together a resume because of language issues. I'm no expert at writing by any means, but I can put together a good resume. It takes me longer than most but I get it done. Now that made me feel good.
