We had great weather this past weekend so I made the best of it and spent a total of 12hrs on 2 days at 3 sites. One was a high school that I hit over the weekend and found a nice gold necklace right on the grass outside the chainlink fence. The necklace isn't marked but it passed the 10K test. Next was 2 old torn down home sites dating from 1900. The first is a ring that is marked 925 but also looks to have some gold plating on it. It was 6inches down so perhaps has been there a while. The next is a medal from Spanish American war. I think these were the first military medals ever presented.

Great finds. I like the medal

the 'medal' is actually a commemorative pocket watch fob of the USWV (United Spanish War Veterans) encampment in Oklahoma City in 1909

..... and a very cool find

Niceeeeeeeeeee I love that metal, cool.

Great finds, the fob is cool

That looks like a good weekend to me..

super weekend, cool fob,

Thanks - things have been a little slow lately as I've been really looking for the silver in old parks and just concentrating on going slow = nothing yet but still working it. This was a nice change up!
