Found this today, might be the ugliest tool I’ve come up with, best description would be a flake blade. Maybe a spokeshave in there… or maybe someone was just playing with some flint. It doesn’t really fit any tool form but it’s worked, and for what it’s worth found on top of a bluff in the dirt nowhere near any creeks so I think it’s safe to eliminate chatter

Definitely a quick cutter, I’ve never seen one with that up turned tail looking bit. Most tools are on a single plane. It’s one of those pieces I like because I found it but I doubt any collectors would be jumping at the chance to get it. The recent rain has got things exposed and I’ve found several brokes or maybe more accurate, fragments but still on an extended point drought so my standards are gradually lowering as to what I get excited about.

That first one if used could probably cut meat from the ribs with ease. I have a super fat drill with a tiny bit I found years ago. You should make a ugly artifact thread. We always do the best looking ones but I believe it would be really cool to see the ugly ones nobody wants to show. Cool tool

I have some that would gladly fit in the " ugly artifact " thread.
