My buddy and I hit the field for a couple hours this afternoon. His first signal was a 1902 Barber quarter. The first quarter to come out of this field. My first signal, 10' away, was a memorial penny! My buddy went about 20' and got another signal. This time he dug a memorial penny! Then I got a signal. Out popped another 1902 Barber quarter!
Somebody has been salting this field with memorial pennies cause there hasn't been a structure standing since the mid fifties.
Anyway, before we called it a day I managed to get my second shield nickel and my buddy dug a medallion that we are not sure about.
