Hi all!

I got these coins at the Baltimore Coin Expo a week or so ago. I was wondering what these coins were. Thanks!

Great ID Jan, I admit I was looking for a coin with the image of an elephant with an exceptionally long trunk. I joke is on me; embarrassing.

Thank you all for your great IDs! The one that really stumped me was the one with the lion on the reverse, so I guess we will just have to see.

The position of the lion (its feet, paws and head) is called Rampant.
The phrase, 'lion rampart' you should find in the attribution of your coin.
What is the diameter, in MM, of that coin?

Sorry For all the Edits here 8-)

Not Exact on Lettering shape.
but, Closest so Far on lettering ,
king and Rampant Lion
(though the king looks Greek to me :tongue3:)
everything except the kings head seems to point to Dutch / Netherlands
so far. makes me wonder if it's a Fantasy Piece.

I would tend to agree with you.
The one issue I was having was the shape of the Crown.
the top of the crown. in The Picture I posted. doesn't match his .

Jeff,
I agree with you regarding the headdress; yours is called 'radiate' (with the spikes). Clearly, the monarch was wearing a different 'style' of headdress.

I definitely wouldn't consider it a fantasy piece. It has an antiquated feel to it, and the way it appears to be struck makes it seem much older.
