What are these lead pieces?

I have been finding these around Civil War sites. I believe they are lead. Anybody know what they are?

Ok, i just found out what they were. They are civil war era Railroad box car Seals. Pretty cool

Yeah, looks like the SRY one is a SOUTHERN RAILWAY LEAD BALE SEAL. I had no clue what they were,lol.

How do you know they are Civil War era? That's only 5 out of the last 187 years of railroading. Less than a 3% chance.

I don't , like i said i have been finding them on Civil War battle sites so i thought they might be around that time period.
