Personally Scott.....I am saving mine for my grandchildren. Hopefully years to come silver prices will be way up there. As for now, I am just enjoying the hobby of CRH'ing. I am starting to get into nickels and pennies too. Maybe buy a few old coins along the way.

I think silver has a good chance to hit 50$ in years to come. I'm pretty young and haven't yet thought about selling. It is really fun to log all my coins into excel and periodically change the price per oz and new coins found. I am also hoping that I will be CRH for a long time to come so if Ag goes up 1.00$, my net profit will go up up up.

I have been searching for treasure since I was a kid...Haven't found much! Like the Grinch said..."If I can't find a treasure, I'll make one instead." ;) I'm keeping mine.....

That is so cool Patpall.....I do the same thing. I generated an excel spreadsheet too. I broke it down by coin dates (1964, 1965, etc)....amount of silver per coin. I set up formulas in the certain cells to calculate total coins...total silver weight....total value with the ever changing silver prices. I did this with dimes, quarters & dollars. I am starting to buy some coins so it is a good way to keep track of what I have.

hold ALL your silver....it is still dirt cheap.....and will be a better gainer than gold.

more later ...for those who want to know why.

Back in the day. I had a good job was making $2.75 an hour. Started roll hunting because silver was on the rise and sliver halves were pretty easy to get (half the roll or so most of the time were silver) ended up putting most of my pay check into half's. When silver hit $40 and I sold out. made enough for a very nice car. and a house for my mother. It was an old house. But she lived in it for many years.

I quit roll hunting after I sold out. I wish I had keep it up all these years. I have started again but have not had near the luck I use to.

if silver hit $30...man, if it hits $15 again i'm cashin' out. i been readin kitco, and they findin new silver mines all the time. only reason it had rose this much on account of the weak dollar. i predict '09 will be the best year for the dollar since '99. you gots to play deez stocks like a robbery: get in, get out! silver production will rise above silver demand and watch dat price drop to $5 again. the '80s silver prices were caused by market manipulation. if you had some back in the day and didn't cash it in, you was truly slippin'. the street taught me better to sell 2 early than 2 late. snappy, word is bond, you played it like a tru baller. all ya'll give props to snappy for gettin' his! peace, i'm out!

I'm waiting for silver to be $37.19. Why? Because then each of my 40% halves will net me a 1000% profit. If it doesn't happen in my lifetime, I'm guessing my rotten kids will get them (and probably spend them at face value!!!) ;D

No matter what your reason for selling, sell the silver in December. December is almost always an 'up' month for the price of silver. You can thank me next January. ;D

i'm saving mine as an investment. in case times are rough and i need some cash fast, i will sell them. otherwise i just plan on holding on to them until silver shoots way up.
