My husband and I found this arrowhead in a field behind a cemetery. We were hoping someone could tell us what era it is from. So, what, if anything, can you guys tell us about this find? I know they aren't the best quality pictures but I am hoping you can glean some info from them.

Looks like a sharpenened down corner notched point. Time frame is somewhere between early Archaic and woodland. I believe that's anywhere from 3,000 to 9,000 years old. Probably not Cherokee. :icon_scratch:

What state ?? Nice find,,,,

I can tell with 100% certainty that it is a very blurry picture of an arrowhead. Anything else would just be a guess since I can't see it clearly enough.

Try putting your camera on the "macro" setting (the one that looks like a flower) and take another picture. If your camera doesn't have macro then back up away from it until you get a good focued picture.

I concur with Steverino! Although I can't match his 100% (I'm only at 98%) certainty, I too think it's a pic of a fuzzy point.

When the water does clear, it wouldn't surprise me to find a Grand or a Lundy point under there. ;D

Around Mapleton by chance??

Okay I think these pics are better! Finally figured out how to use my camera! We found this near Leavenworth, KS.
