What do I do with this?

Was in Bradenton digging behind an old building that is now a pawn shop. Found what looks like a chandelier piece. It looks like it's silver. I found another piece then another and so on. How do I tell if it is silver, and what do I do with it? It has steel core. As you can see in one pic. I'm not sure it worth cutting the outer layer off, if it is silver. Thanks for looking.
