This thread is called "Today's Finds". Well here is what I found out today. I was getting tired staying in the house with fresh batteries in the AT Pro. So I drove 17 miles to a park I know that has been productive many time in the past. When I arrived in the parking lot, I shut off the engine and opened the door. That's when I found out that it was just too damn cold to be out there. The wind nearly took off my door, and within 5 minutes my hands began to hurt from he cold. I didn't even turn the detector on. I just closed the door and headed back home. So, if I can't show you what I found today, I'll show you an interesting photo that I took along the highway. I also found out today why the frog population has been declining. (Read the photo)

You know its funny...
I thought the frogs around here were sounding a little higher pitched ribbit.
It is clear why now.

They are harvesting and letting them go...
Like here with stone crabs...
The take one claw and throw em back...

Same goes here... only not claws :)

Must be a new trend very similar actually to Facebook... Even sounds the same...

Facebook ... Frogballs... see same thing.

BTW... Welcome to Tnet Desert Don. :)

Also... per your story... yeah cold sucks... cold with wind... sucks more.

Not at all...
We like and encourage people to post.

If no one posted anything... it would not be much of a site.
AND...
We would all go blind from staring at blank white boxes. :)

Well that is good to know. Because after nearly forty-five years of metal detecting and taking photos, I have a lot to share. Wife is gone, kids are grown, so it just me and the kitty cats now...oh, and my new friends online.

Okay...okay. I guess I've kept you wondering long enough. "Frog Balls" are actually Pickled Brussels Sprouts that this place sells in small glass jars. They aren't too bad...if you like Brussels Sprouts!

DD

I like Brussel sprouts only if they are cooked very done.
Mushy
With butter. :)

Feral frogs are a real problem in our community. It's time someone did something about it!

;)
