Detector(s) used
Whites
So today I went to a yard sale and they had a Whites coinmaster classic I for $10. I put some batteries in it and went out to try some digging. Found a 1941 dime and some newer pennies as well as a brass bell. Is this a decent detector? couldn't pass it up for $10.

Welcome to TNet

Great deal in my opinion
& congrats on the finds !

great deal!!! and its obvious it works...will pay for itself many times over WAY TO GO!!!

A pinpointer would be a deal at $10!!! :o

Great deal! If you are unfamiliar with that detector, go to http://hobby.us.whiteselectronics.com, and they will have specs on that model. You might even want to call them and let them know what you have, they might have useful info. They have been keeping my Silver Eagle detector alive for years. Again, great deal!

Thanks for all the responses! Went back out tonight and found some more stuff. Bunch more pennies and a cap gun with the markings LH on the grips. The bell I found earlier was not brass it is copper and has the markings "Pat Oct 24 76 & May 14 78" Going to try to post a pic of the bell and gun.

here is the pic I promised

Any detector for $10 is a steal if it works. You will be paid many times over

:thumbsup:awsome dubble find

A great deal indeed, seeing as a cheap MD at radio shack is like $65, and the one you got is way better! Welcome, looks like you are hooked already! Go to a park and hit the playground and bushes in secluded areas. GH!

Seems your quickly on your way to re-paying yourself that $10. HH

Yeah I think I got a deal! I had a bounty hunter ( i think pioneer 101) about 10 years ago and never really found much with it, I noticed that this one seems to go deeper and has a real distinct sound when I find a coin. Can't wait to get out again and find some more cool stuff!

Lets see; $10, one White's Classic One, or two gallons of diesel?
I'd rather walk, swinging my $10 detector! :)

Lady Luck walks with you!
