WWII Eagle button, never seen the lid before though.

Looked up the canning lid 1920s gives me a idea of how old the site is from my research shows habitation from 1845 to 1950 I thought I'd find older relics but its the bottom of a lake possibly the older stuff is too deep in the muck or the older site is elsewhere.

I pulled a lid like that once..it was trashed, so I recycled it.
