Ed Barq designed that bottle himself. He filed Design Patent 98,026 on 16th August 1935 and was granted a 7 year patent on 31st December 1935.

Note that yours has a mould error, with the ‘9’ in the design number embossed back to front.

You meant "embossed". heh

That’s translated Cajun I think....

You meant "embossed". heh

? I don't understand. I meant "embossed" and I said "embossed". Is there some kind of Americanism whereby you use the word differently?

Sorry to let you down just going again to the bottle game and I don’t know why I’ve been saying embroidered.

With mine saying root beer does that make it any more rare?

Just think "embroidered" = textile material / threading... like the logo's that are stitched into things like hats.

Embossed applies to "raised" "pressed into"... adjective... of a surface or object... decorated with a design that stands out in relief.
"an embossed brass dish"
(of a design) carved, molded, or stamped on a surface or object.
