I'm digging in a 1800's privy and I dug this up. The end looks broken off and it looks like a tiny hole at the bottom. It's hollow and roots have grown through the hole. Decoration piece, perfume or something else?? Thanks in advance!

Is it a stopper for a bottle?

That's what it is I hade one just like it

It's hard to tell from your pic is this piece hollow? It could be a smelling salt bottle. Did you find anything else in the privy? Because we would love to see what you found.

Yes it's hollow and there's a tiny hole that you can barely see in pic 4.

This is what else I found :) I took this last night to show my husband but I will take better pics later on today. 3 are embossed!

my vote is a decanter top. yes they are heavy and if its that old and hand blown the hollow will be the pontil mark.
