What is it?

Found this at an old post office site but, its also a later site next to railroad tracks so could of been some sort of temp siding for the railroad. It looks like some sort of lamp but I can't identify it on antique lamp sites.

Do you have measurements or something to photograph it with to reference scale?



My first thought was that it looked like the top of a battery perhaps but that would be far too small for anything "lamp-esque" as well as being wrong.

I found one really similar to that but smaller.
Can I see the other side.
The other side of mine has very thick foil and the center is older type of plastic.
