It was picked up by my mxt on the edge of the massive stone. I kinda had to dig under it.
 

Looks like an icing mold that a baker would use.
 

Wow I never would have guessed an icing mold - but looking at it - it really could be ! I think it's later 19th century - you can see
that it is a factory pressed piece , looking at the underside .
 

But why the loop at the top. Almost like a pendant? Icing mold? For baking?
 

These would hang on the wall on pegs at the decorating table at a bakery. Traditional icing is firmer than the soft stuff we buy already made. After a cake was iced you would press icing into these molds, remove the piece, moisten the back of it and put it on the cake. I got married while stationed in England and watched some of my cake being made. 'Course that doesn't make me right about what it is, but it reminds me of the icing molds I saw back then.
 

Anything written on the front scroll? Looks to be a name plate or tag of some sort.
 

Nothimg written on it. It looks like roses with a banner wrapped in front of flowers.
 

I picture it being a weight from an old clock but that is a wild guess.
