Good afternoon all!
Came across this item yesterday evening and need some help identifying. It has a bent large head nail in the top hole. The area I am hunting was once filled with Longleaf Pines where distillers would come and gather turpentine. Also, there was a civil war battle fought through the same woods. See pictures:

Maybe some type of spike that would go on the end of a pole.

I had no idea what that tool was called!!! I called it a log grabber/puller...Thank you for the lesson and identifying this piece capsmith!
