only way to know the exact name for sure is to research the minerals found in the exact area (town, beach, etc.) - it's either an orbicular jasper or agate, or possibly rhyolite.

If you go to mindat.org you can search what minerals are found in that exact area

That thing is really cool! I would be trying to see if that would take a polish, it would make a great cab for a ring or pendant!:icon_thumright:
