Is this post mint damage or an error? The edge is so uniform. It almost looks like the planchet was slightly too big and it got "caught" when it was minted. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

When the coin experts take a look they're going to want to know the year, and if the collar (railroad rim) goes all the way around.

Thanks for the tip. It is a 1993-D Memorial Penny and the collar goes all the way around the penny.

You might want to put a micrometer on it to compare with a "normal" cent.

Do you have a pic of the front and back of the coin? Definitely weigh it.
