001.webp002.webp Since I am having such good luck finding out some of my unknowns on What Is It? thought I would ask if anyone knows what this circular iron piece with raised center (or lowered) might be? Thanks

As thick as it is, it looks like a grate for a small pot bellied stove. I have a small one in my tack room and the grate is very similar . . . Mine is "raised" like yours, too.

Well you didn't make it easy this time! 3 different solutions and all are reasonable. Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. At this time though given the size and weight of the 'circular iron piece' I think I have to go with a stove grate. Given where it was found this makes the most sense to me (although I guess I could say that about the other 2 choices as well). Oh well!
