What is this pin?

Ok so I have this garrison cap my grandfather left me. I don't know that much about his time in the army, other than that he was in the army during the Korean war, I think he was stationed in Germany, and served in the reserves for some time after, I think as a drill sergeant in the 78th training division. Anyway, this is the pin on the cap and I would like to know what it is. I think it is a army regimental crest, but as for the unit I have no Idea. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
