Definitely home made, isnt it? I think your right about a wagon/trailer pin.

Relic Nut is right.

It's a hitch receiver pin. I've lost a ton of them myself over the years.:laughing7: They are used on all kinds of other things too. Tractors,equipment,bigger mower decks, etc.......And your right, It could have even been used on a removable gate, or for a hay wagon even.

From the wear mark it looks like a hitch pin. You can see where the receiver/hitch pulled the metal.
