It says Carr Fast Co. Boston pat. 13 . I looked it up on Google and it looks like it could be a car part or part of a snap used on leather. I can't find any additional information on it.

It is a fastener for leather or canvas. Could be off hunting or military gear. I had similar ones on the convertible top on my old Ausitn Healey.
