What is this?

Two rolls into my box I find this (the one on the right). It has a gold hue to it, even on the edge. Anyone know what it is?

A gold-plated half dollar. Common and plated by an individual or company and sold on QVC for $5, when it only has like 50 cents of gold plating.

Could be gold plated, I have found a few of these in my searches that's for sure. People sure do some weird things to half dollars, i'll never understand it but it sure does make things entertaining when you got a box full of nothing but skunk.
