I love this thread, it was made for my DNA. I have been dumpster diving, flea marketing, yard saleing, bartering, roll up the sleeves and just plain work like a dog to make a buck since I could ride a bicycle. I grew up in a rough part of town, my father was a design engineer for Aerospace, a burst can ignition specialist, and made great money but... I was one of 11 children so this neighborhood was what my Dad could afford and still feed all of us. It was near an industrial park. I dumpster dove every business trash can in that extensive park every day after school. One of the businesses made Die cut stickers. Bumper stickers, skate board stickers, BMX stickers, every sticker a kid could want and this places trash cans gave me very slightly irregular sticker waste which I trimmed with scissors and then Sold them at school. By the dozens. I made enough money to buy OP shorts and Vans sneakers, and enough money to buy a very nice cook bros BMX bike. I then started buying Silver bars at $5 dollars an ounce. I harvested old broken lawn mowers and sold the parts or had the neighbor help me fix them and sold them on my Dads front lawn for $60. I bought a 41 Indian Chief Basket case for $50 and sold it for 4800.00 and then bought my first car at 14 years old. It is a 1950 Willys Jeepster and I still own it today. Today I really don't need to Dive for anything, My ventures in life have more than taken care of me, but I have never stopped Diving or Picking or searching for something for free whether in the dirt or on top of the dirt. My friends laugh at me and then shake their head when I show them how much money I made for just stopping and picking something up. I am not putting you persons (gender correctness) Through this long boring story to toot my own horn. I am just saying that there is money laying in the streets everywhere. Keep those eyes peeled and think outside of the box. Find something cool and find a way to maximize the dollars on the find. Sell and keep the cash in a stash. DOn't spend it unless it is on something you are buying to flip for a profit. Make a game out of it. Before you know it you will be rolling in fun money all from found bargains free or otherwise. This latest score Porsche was purchased entirely from free money. Its out there people. Go get it!!! God I love this stuff. Sorry for the long boring story
